look at my essay about inderect proofs plas and tell me if it needs fixing please.

This segment of math was extremely difficult for me, by me always asking you to let me redo the tests or quiz’s because I wanted to either do better or get more questions to help me with this part of the course. In my opinion I think that the whole entire part of this course was challenging but if I had to pick the hardest it would have to be line and angle proofs. I was not getting the concept nor the step, I kept mixing up the steps, not going in order and always splitting it up. I never really got how to find where everything went when you are trying to find out if it is reflective, transitive, ect. Over this part of the course I would need a lot of help and their was nothing like rotations on where if you do a translation it can help with a rotation in the future. For a indirect proof their was nothing really to help me with it; I found that the only way I was going to really figure this stuff out is if I went to go take more notes then I usually do and to go onto sites for example Open Study for other people who have completed geometry and knows what proofs are and they can explain and give me the steps on how to do a proof. Some times in my biology course I have to apply my geometry ideas. For example if I need to find the volume of an item for example a piece of wood, I have to measure the length the width and the height of the peace of wood. So I can plug it into the volume formula, so that I can finish my experiment.

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Huh..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is what they told me to write about do u think i need alot of revising

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Over the course of this module, what concept did you find the most challenging? What did you do to clarify this concept and further your learning? Please explain the concept and give at least one real world example that demonstrates the concept that you have selected.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you think im nailing the concept or no? @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, I thought this was supposed to be an essay on Indirect Proofs.. :l

OpenStudy (igreen):

I see what you're doing..it's on Indirect Proofs because that's the hardest concept in the module..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i mean im writing that it was the most challnging part for me of this course but do you think i hit what they were askingme to write about.

OpenStudy (igreen):

That essay looks great.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sweet thanks @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

No problem.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

i managed to read first paragraph of the essay but stil not able to find anything related to indirect proof ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is what t hey wanted me to talk about. Over the course of this module, what concept did you find the most challenging? What did you do to clarify this concept and further your learning? Please explain the concept and give at least one real world example that demonstrates the concept that you have selected.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i choise inderict proofs but that comes in the second paragraph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you see what i said to igreen it might help you understand on what im trying to say @ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

So have you mastered indirect proofs ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ehh sort of i still a little confused on the whole proofs thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like my course has been all the proofs their are on geometry so they are all hard for me but i just choose to pick that one but i am still wiery on all of them

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Okay, may be try to summarize the process/steps of indirect proof and also give an example if possible... i think the essay needs to focus on your main topic : indirect proofs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k um can you help me with that and like give me a exsample of what it should look like cause i really just cant figure out how i woud write a summary on something that i cant be certin on. @ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

whats your favorite indirect proof in geometry ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait wait nvm sorry i screwd up this was supposed to be on line and angle proofs XD my bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say vertical angles are my fav (vertical angles are congruent)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry for the confusion @ganeshie8 its supposed to be about line and angle proofs

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Ok.. I see you mentioned about transitive/reflexive properties which is good :) you could also talk about your experiences with below concepts : 1) Vertical angles 2) Parallel lines and their transversals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im writing this right now @ganeshie8 If someone was building a rectanglular picture frame I would want to make sure that the corners are right angles so I would have to prove that I have two sides of parallel lines, for a exsample of line and angle proofs

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

looks good !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good
