Many places around the world force children into great depression. Because of the injustices in human rights such as child labor forcing children work. And they don’t even make 2 dollars a day for it. But more fundamentally than this, to be human is to have compassion. Children are affirmed to be just as real human beings as adults, even as the children are robbed of their youth. Certain countries around the world force young children to work and endure some of the harshest conditions. Workdays would often be 10 to 14 hours with minimal breaks during the shift. Factories employing children were often very dangerous places leading to injuries and even deaths. The speed and pace of the work and machinery often ran so quickly that little fingers, arms and legs could easily get caught. In they worked older building not even kept up for proper ventilation so. Fumes when inhaled by children these most certainly could result in illness, chronic conditions or diseases. And this also affects the children that don’t work in the cities. Children working in rural areas were not doing much better. Harvesting crops in extreme temperatures for long periods and hours of the day was considered normal for these children. Even though working in the field instead of the factory has less regulated duties. They carried their weight and more in loads of produce and handled dangerous tools. So these long hours working in the field and factories didn’t allow for children education, and also some many family members and did not allow children to attend school at all. To this date congress has tried to pass a law. that would enforce a minimum working age, prohibiting dangerous jobs and conditions and establishing maximum hours children could work was not a popular endeavor. And also to improve working conditions like ventilation and better machines for children. The bill also includes helping with social protection and child education. Increase numbers of children in school who no longer work in exploitative child labor. Important for us to take awareness expand global knowledge on child labor, including how to better tackle the problem. To also improve awareness of the importance of education for all children. And increase mobilization of a wide array of stakeholders who improve and expand economic and education opportunities for children and families. Most importantly take action how, young people worldwide are speaking out against child labor and taking action to raise further awareness of this issue. Send letters and emails to the governments and policy makers. By doing all of this we can make a difference.
