well you need 1/2 of milk to bake a cake. If you are baking 6 cakes just multiply 1/2 by 6 and you'll get your answer

Well, if you give a direct answer, then the person asking the question would just take the answer, and wouldn't know how to do the problem, and will just keep asking the same questions all over again.
