@Princer_Jones
see 9<13<16 taking square root we have 3<sq. root(13)<4 so sq. root(13) lies between 3 and 4. now from the number line, you tell me which option is correct.@geny55
is it option c?
correct.@geny55
yay! i have one more :)
ok.:)
Hi... @geny55
If any two rational numbers a and b are given, we can find a rational number between them by the formula (a+b)/2 Here the numbers are 7.7 and 7.9 , which are rational. So how can you get a rational number between them? .@geny55
ummm, i dont know sorry :(
you read again what i posted....
yes
hmm The rational number is given by (7.7+7.9)/2=
the question says Find a rational number and an irrational number that are between 7.7 and 7.9. Include the decimal approximation of the irrational number to the nearest hundredth.
Yeah i read it... the rational number is 7.8 and the irrational number is 7.70100100001000001...
ok and now lets do the second part . it says Include the decimal approximation of the irrational number to the nearest hundredth.
did u do the second part already?
yeah it did the general answer but we need to find the answer of the question which you posted.
ok so lets do it
lets do it really quick! :)
the number must be in between 7 and 8 as well. 7^2=49 and 8^2=64. see square root(60) is irrational and 60 is in between 49 and 64 as well and moreover square root of 60 lies between 7.7 and 7.9. So the required answer is 7.74. which is the approximation of square root 60 to the nearest hundredth
@geny55
so whats the whole answer with everything put together :)
7.74
Write square root of 60 is an irrational number in between 7.7 and 7.9 and its approximation to the nearest hundredth is 7.74
@geny55
thx :)
