The ability to give 1 medal to multiple people on one post has been requested plenty of times :) I am sure the Dev has talked about it as well

They evaluated several ways of doing medals.  After months and months of review, looking at formulas, etc, they decided on one medal per user per question.  You are supposed to give it to the best answer.

If multiple medals were allowed it would destroy the value of a medal, thus making them useless.

If every scientist could win the Nobel prize... what's the point of awarding it?

Every other solutuion they tried, and there were a few, caused more problems than it solved.

Only other thing I can think of is a "Like" type button that has no SS value.  That would at least give people the ability to like other answers.  Also, put it on the specific post that is liked.
