Plz Help! Ben has £600 that he wants to exchange into euro. the exchange rate is £1= 1.39 euro the lowest note the post office has is 20 euros how many euro can Ben buy and how much will this cost him?

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

First figure what 600 pounds is worth in euros. (That would be 600 x 1.39) Next figure out how close you can get to that number using only multiples of 20 without going over the number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

600 x 1.39 = 834

820?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

The bank is not going to give you 840 for 834 worth of currency.
