Question about my class, not really a math question but i didnt know where to put this on here, so im just doing it this way. My math teacher doesn't give tests retakes/extra credit. I have to do well on tests to pass. But i suck at tests, at least math ones. Any help on how to do better? Better ways to study, etc? Giving medals to anyone who helps
Do your homework/studying in a place where there is no distractions...no t.v., no music, no bratty brothers/sisters bugging you. Don't be embarrassed to ask questions....some students do not want to ask their teacher questions in fear that the other students will think they are stupid. The honest truth is that they probably need help as well. Take your time...do not rush. Take notes. Come here to Open Study and we can help explain many things. One thing I have learned is that one person may explain something to you, and you do not understand...but another person may explain it in a different way, and you finally get it...it clicks. If you want to get " better " at something, practice. Do it over and over and it will eventually sink in. I do wish you the best of luck. It kinda sucks not being allowed any extra-credit work or test retakes....but some teachers are just like that, they give no breaks.
Be sure to ask questions. And to more than one person, as the reply before mine states. I have found that this along with practice and more practice helps the problem or method stick. A really great sight that I have used before this is Quizlet.com which has helped me a ton. Best of luck to you!
