can someone please help me with this? :( Martin Luther King Jr. uses figurative language strategically throughout his letter to promote equality. How does the following instance help accomplish his purpose of challenging the church leaders to take action against racial injustice? Like a boil that can never be cured as long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its pus-flowing ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must likewise be exposed, with all of the tension its exposing creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured. Respond in three to five complete sentences.
I'm not going to answer for you, but i can try to help. The wording that Martin Luther uses here is metaphoric, so you have to figure out what it is saying, and how it was used to try to persuade the church leaders to stop racial injustice. For example, the "Boil that cannot be cured as long as it is covered up" is a metaphor directly comparing a boil to racial injustice; if racial injustice is not covered up (stopped) than it will keep overflowing and getting worse.
thank you ! you really helped me out
No problem:) I'm glad to help
