Sound sources A and B, the sound power output of A 3.7 W and B 6.3 W is set to a very a) reflecting b) absorbing floor. The listener is 14 m from A and 16 m from B. How big is the sound pressure level at the listener's. The book tells me that the answer to a) is 98 dB and b) is 95 db. In b) I first calculated the intensities of the two points added them together and got 95,378 dB. But what about a)? What happens to the intensity when it’s reflected? Since it’s “very reflecting” can we assume that the reflection is 100 %? Thank you for your time!
