The Election of 1824 Was Decided in the House of Representatives. The Controversial Election was Denounced as The Corrupt Bargain. Adams was not suited to be president because he wasn't elected by the people and he was supported by John C. Clay a former candidate, gambler, and dueler who also wasn't fit for presidency. Adams was elected unjustly.
