Residents of Turner County, in the Chutney Area School Distraction can use the expression
(v x 0.5327 - 5000) / 1000 x 34.11
to determine their property taxes, where v is home value. Use the expression to calculate the property tax paid by the owner of a home valued at 130,000.
So first I rewrote it of course as..
(130,000 x 0.5327 - 5000) / 1000 x 34.11
First I did 130,000 x 0.5327 which = 69251 then subtract 5000 which = 64251 / 1000 x 34.11
I did 1000 x 34.11 = 34110 Then I took 64251 / 34110 = 1.88
Rounded to the nearest dollar.. which would be 2?
But that does not seem right..
