LCD and LCM questions Please help fan and medal. What is the LCD of 1/2 and 3/5? A.2 B.7 C.10 D.20 @iGreen @uChezzy @undeadknight26 @phi @KittyT

OpenStudy (phi):

have you learned any ways to find the Least Common Divisor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean least common denominator? then I can't remember how this is a review and I need help.

OpenStudy (phi):

For 2 and 5, I would "factor" them into their prime factors. (If you know how) in this case, they are both primes, so we are done. then multiply the factors: 2*5 to get 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its C?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you soo much fanned and medaled

OpenStudy (phi):

ok, but it's better if you get the idea. For 2 and 10 we would factor 2 into 2, and 10 into 2*5 now the LCD is 2*5 (from 10). and we already have a 2 (for the 2), so we are done. 10 is the answer.
