Medals. :) How do you solve a system of equations approximately using graphs and tables? I would like a step by step explanation that I could copy down and use for future reference. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure the system of equations on a graph is where the lines intersect.

OpenStudy (leader):

Desmos.com/calculator You can put in your two equations and look for where they intersect. That will be your solution.

^^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Leader That's exactly what I do! Lol!

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

I don't want something that solves it for me, I need the steps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I already told you what to do on the graphs, right?

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

So... You have to solve for y, graph it, and then find where the lines intersect.

OpenStudy (leader):

You can take a table and put in all the x and y values

OpenStudy (leader):

Then graph it.. And see where it intersects...

OpenStudy (leader):

Because usually these equations are lines

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

@AnswerMyQuestions Can you give Leader a medal? I want you both to get one. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. Sure.

OpenStudy (leader):

:)
