WILL FAN WHOEVER DOES ALL a. solve a - 9= 20 b. solve b - 9> 20 c. how is solving the equation in part a similar to solving the inequality in part b? D. how are the solutions different?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a = 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b>29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is the same because you have to try and islolate the variable to get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you do that by adding 9 in both problems A and B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are different because in a it is saying for thius equation to be true a has to equal 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in b the equation is true if b is greater than 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so any solution greater than 29 will work for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that answer your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does thank you!

thx @shortycme and @leigh101
