PLease help me it was 23 questions but i did the other question if someone could help i would LOVE YOU FORVER!
1. Reynaldo is reviewing a study on the effectiveness of a new drug-free remedy for depression. In the study, a group of participants was given a natural supplement for a period of six weeks. They rated their mood both before and after treatment. Two-thirds of the group reported a marked improvement after the trial. What change in this study would do the most to increase Reynaldo's confidence that sound scientific practices were followed? A. Including a control group that did not receive the supplement B. Including information about the manufacturer and cost of the supplement C. Including testimony of participants in the study's documentation D. Including more details about the self-reported mood ratings 2. Kendra watches a television commercial for a new alternative medicine. She is interested in the medicine, but she is unsure if it will really work. Which of the following would give reliable evidence of the medicine's properties? A. Testimony of well-respected medical professionals supporting the medicine's abilities B. The fact that the company owns several multi-million dollar research facilities C. Testimony of many users that the medicine really works D. Many experimental trials with results that support the claims 3. Which of the following questions can be answered scientifically? A. Should we just let the river flow where it wants? B. What can be done to stop erosion? C. Is erosion control worth the financial costs? D. Can planting cover crops reduce erosion? <-- my choice 4. If a colony of cyanobacteria were added to a colony of anaerobic bacteria, how would the oxygen produced by the cyanobacteria most likely affect the anaerobes? A. It would encourage the anaerobes to grow. B. It would eventually kill the anaerobes. C. It would keep the anaerobes from moving around as quickly. D. It would make the anaerobes develop mitochondria. 5. Biology answers many questions, but its main focus is A. the animals of the Earth and their environment B. the history of life on Earth C. how people and animals interact and live D. how living organisms interact and function 6. Which statement correctly compares the pH of water to that of other substances? A. The pH of water increases as its temperature increases, while other substances have a stable pH. B. The pH of water is neutral; it is higher than the pH of acids and lower than the pH of bases. C. Water contains more hydrogen ions than most other substances, giving it a higher pH. D. Water is neutral and has a pH of 0; acids have a pH greater than 0 and bases have a pH less than 0. 7. Which of the following best describes one way electron microscopes and light microscopes differ in structure? A. Light microscopes use vacuum tubes instead of electron beams to concentrate light on the stage. B. Electron microscopes use an infrared light source instead of a regular light source to display images. C. Electron microscopes use a beam of electrons instead of light to magnify images. D. Light microscopes use lamps instead of electric cables as a power source 8. Organic molecules are sometimes found within meteorites that crash into Earth. Which meteorite condition in space is similar to what most likely was present on early Earth? A. Abundance of oxygen B. Very cold temperatures C. Presence of inorganic molecules D. Low levels of ultraviolet radiation 9. Which of the following would most likely be key to gathering evidence that the "RNA World" hypothesis is valid? A. Creation of suitable environments for long-term study of single-celled organisms B. Simulation of early Earth conditions and long-term study of the resulting molecules C. Development of a system for studying the microsphere's ability to absorb additional molecules D. Categorization of the different specific conditions that result in the development of microspheres 10. As liquid water freezes, the molecules arrange themselves in a way that takes up more space than liquid water. What would most likely occur if the arrangement of frozen water molecules required less space than that of liquid water molecules? A. The density of ice would be greater than the density of liquid water, and ice would not float. B. Ice would form in layers, and liquid water would get trapped in between the layers. C. Liquid water would have a higher specific heat, making it less likely to undergo vaporization. D. The freezing point of water would decrease, making ice more difficult to form. 11. If several highly educated scientists all study the same scientific data, which of the following is most likely to explain why they may all have different conclusions? A. Not all scientists study the data with similar effort. B. Scientists make slight variations in procedure to test more broadly. C. Conclusions involve the scientists interpretation. D. Scientists state conclusions based on their own research needs.
12. Review the moth diagram. What can be correctly inferred from the information in the diagram? A. Black moths are adapted to their environment better than speckled moths. B. Speckled moths are better tasting than black moths. C. Black moths have a longer life span and produce more offspring than speckled moths. D. Speckled moths produce more offspring than black moths.
5. i think it's D and 6. i think it's D too
Ikram is it okay if you help me i really need to do this and it's due today @ikram002p
im sorry not good in bio :O
oh okay
I am not very good at these kinds of questions but here is what i think #2 should be D
#3 should be D as you u sadi
*said
#4 should be B, because cyanobacteria is oxygenic and anaerobic bacteria survive in the environment which lacks oxygen
#5 should be D, Biiology is life science
#6 pH of water is neutral (7) and that of acids are <7 and bases are >7
#7 Electron microscope as the name suggests, uses electron beams to magnify the image while light/compound microscope uses light rays.
#8 Presence of inorganic molecules.
#10 Density of ice would become greater than water and it will not float
#12 Black moths are better adapted than speckled one. This is a case scenario of industrial Revolution. Black moths were well adapted and were able to survive in dark background which was due to rise in smoke due to industrial revolution. Gradually there number increased and speckled one got extinct.
