Our equation is y = -2x +8

-2 is where m is in the formula....so -2 is the slope. 8 is in the place of the b in the formula so 8 is the y-int.

Yes, correct. I will say that in the future, you will probably have harder questions such as...

-5x + y = 3

In this case you would have to put it in y = mx + b form...

y = 5x + 3
