There are two different kinds of covalent bonds. There are non polar covalent bonds and then there are polar covalent bonds.
Non-polar Covalent: Equal sharing of atoms such as F2, C2
Electronegative values between 2.0-4.0
Polar Covalent: Unequal sharing of atoms such as NH3, H20
Electronegative values between .5-1.6
