granite is composed of larger minerals such as muscovite/biotite, feldspars one of the most found igneous rocks. The reason for the minerals larger is because Granite is an intrusive igneous rock. Granite is abundant on the Earth's surface. rhyolite has finer grains and is also an igneous rock but a Volcanic igneous rock, and Extrusive Rock (has a fast flow from the Earth's surface which explains the finer grains. )
