If f(x) = [[2x − 3]] − |3 − 2x|, what is the value of f(-2.8)?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So if we plug in 2.8 for every 'x' we see...we have \[\large f(2.8) = [[2(2.8) - 3]] - |3 - 2(2.8)|\] Lets simplify a little \[\large f(2.8) = (5.6 - 3) - |3 - 5.6|\] can you take it from there? :)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Oops, sorry...it was -2.8....

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

\[\large [[2(-2.8) - 3]] - |3 - 2(-2.8)|\] \[\large (-5.6 - 3) - |3 + 5.6|\] Nowww can you take it from there? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I can thank you so much hun

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Anytime gorgeous :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would it be 17.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):
