determine the amplitude or period. period of y=-5 sec x. am i looking for amplitude or period. this is confusing because it mentions both.
period=2pi.....amplitude=5. but which one is it wanting? it mentions both
well, it says find one or the other, but the next sentence says period, so I think that's the one they are looking for
me too, but amplitude and period is both answers in the multiple choice
isnt that stupid for the problem to mention both?
the choices have both on each choice?
yes, lol
2pi is an answer as well as 5 is an answer
hold on ill take i pic of it
it likely happened because the question is either randomly generated, and some people will get one on period, and some on amplitude
or because the instructions are the same for the next several questions
but why mention both in question
shouldnt be trick questions like that
another proble asked for period. but period wasnt an answer but phase shift was an answer
they like to be sneaky
^
they are sneaky or, they have a lot of typos
yeah, that will 2pi
though, I think the wording can be better
look, it ask for period. but onlyhas answer for phase shift
that's correct, the period isn't listed :'/
thats annoying. this is what we have to prepare for the final exam. i guess he wants to confuse us instead of prep us
maybe he's just not a good typist
well hopefully he wont be a good typist when entering grades and input every one additional points for his errors
lol :^) hopefully
this is an on going problem at my school in all my classes. almost every quiz and test has some majot error like this
........multiple errors on all test, quizes in all classes
You guys chould complain; that's what I would do
we dooooooo! this has been the itt tech way the whole time i been there
Oh well, *sigh*
sometimes you learn allot from others mistakes.
True ^
yes that is one way to turn a negative to positive
a lot*
@zzr0ck3r whats your opinion on what my post says? think it is asking for period or amplitude?
lol, he came back just to correct grammar
amplitude and period is included in choices
He learnt from his own mistake =)
While some people, like your teacher; don't.
then choose one... lol there is no other way to read that. its just a stupid question.
im going to ge with period then since it mentions it last but will provide both answers
thanks guys, im closing post. you earned a metal for trying to clarify these problems. wish i could award the both of you one
