The Third estate representatives revolted against the Ancien Regime unfair political system and against the disastrous living condition due to the deep economic crisis.

the Third Estate was the majority of the population yet nothing was done in the Government that benefited them, so they took the Tennis Court Oath, to make sure that the Government was on a stable foundation, the Third Estate never got a fair share in their say in the way the world around them was to work. So they revolted, :)
