What are the legacies of the Progressive Movement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The progressive era was the time period after the Gilded Age, usually defined as 1901-1917. It was a time period where the government became more active and looked to correct abuses and solve problems. Pushed for by the clergy, the socialists, and muckraking journalists, the government reigned in big business, took on more power, protected the environment, and reformed government.
