What is the median of the data set 10, 7, 9, 9, 4, 6

OpenStudy (midhun.madhu1987):

When arranged in the increasing order, the middlemost value is the Median...

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

You need to put the data from least to greatest |dw:1415980590629:dw| Now that the data is in that order, you can no cross some out like this > |dw:1415980680611:dw| There are two middle numbers, but that cannot be, so you have to find the mean (average) by adding \[7+9\] and then dividing the sum by 2. Your problem should then look like this> \[16\div2\] Based on the information I gave you, what do you think the answer is?
