2. Karla's doctor recommended her daily caffeine intake stay under 500 milligrams. Today, Karla has already had 365 milligrams of caffeine. Her favorite soda contains 45 milligrams. Which of the following inequalities could be used to solve for x, the number of sodas Karla can still have today? 45x < 500 45x < 865 45x + 365 < 500 45x - 365 < 500

one moment please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im so confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, from what I can understand, it would be the third one, because she has had 365 mg already, so you would need to take that out of 500.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would look like this: 45x+365 < 500.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

500-365=135

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you would divide 135 by 45x, and come out with x=3. Karla can still have three soda's today without going over. no problem cx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great! medal me please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i already did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great cx
