metal and fan earned for helping me... Aeschylus's Oresteia, a sequence of three plays telling the story of the murderous House of Atreus, is the only surviving __________________ in Greek drama. A. quartet B. quatrain C. trilogy D. triumvirate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont need the meaning just the answer but thanks if you give me everything anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it's three parts, you can tell the answer isn't A or B, since those all have four parts. Google the definitions of C and D, and choose which you think is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you do need the meaning, how else will you learn? Openstudy isn't meant to provide answers, it's meant to help people learn. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Triumvirate means (in ancient Rome) a group of three men holding power, in particular ( the First Triumvirate ) the unofficial coalition of Julius Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus in 60 BC and ( the Second Triumvirate ) a coalition formed by Antony, Lepidus, and Octavian in 43 BC. So does that sound correct? Absolutely not! The only remaining answer is C, so that's probably correct.

thx but whenever i try to google it, it wont work so that is why i am doing it here and asking for help thx though and you are right i really wasnt think about that or at all but if you can please keep helping me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look up Oresteia and you'll see that it's the only remaining example of a trilogy, so that proves that C is right. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And np. I have to go now though, so you could try looking them up in an actual, paper dictionary if you have one. G
