An official tennis court is a rectangle whose length is 6 feet more than twice the width. The perimeter of the court is 228 feet. Find the dimensions of the court. Can someone please help me? /:

Perimeter for a rectangle is \(\sf P=2l +2w\), P=erimeter, w=width, l=length then the question says: length is 6 feet more than twice the width so l= 6+ 2w P= 228 ft substitute them in the formula \(\sf P=2l +2w\\228=2(6+2w)+2w\) now your turn, can you solve for 'w'

Isn't one equation L=2(w+6)?
