Change 1/2 to 2/4 and the other 1/2 to 2/4 2/4 + 3/4 + 2/4 = 7/4
1/2 + 1/2 = 1 1 + 3/4 = \(1\frac{3}{4}\), or 1.75
as a improepr fraction, that would be \(\frac{7}{4}\)
