For the COC, can you guys add that if someone posts a question from a quiz/test/exam or any kind of assessment, we're not supposed to help them because that's considered cheating? Or is it okay to help them? I'm asking this because if told them that that's considered cheating and OS is prohibiting it, I don't have any proof . Thanks!

OpenStudy (compassionate):

It's considered cheating. A lot of stuff gets passed onto me when it comes to FLVS because I know the system so well (I did 5 years). Any form of tests, or something similar to tests, are illegal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so why it is not written in the COC?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what if the asker will participate in solving their problem from their quiz? is it still cheating?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Cheating = No no

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Also there are school mods for a reason on OS.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

@Chibi_Robo3 It is already in both the CoC and the TaC. In the CoC it talks about not violationg your school honor code. In the TaC it has an entire Anti-Cheating Policy section where they talk about how they helo schools track down and punish cheaters.

thomaster (thomaster):

Besides... it's common sense. Everyone knows that cheating is not allowed anywhere. People who do cheat wouldn't care if it was explicitly written in the CoC anyways.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh alright :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @chibi_Robo3 ! OS has strict policies against cheating and you can find the whole Anti Cheating Policy at the bottom part of Terms and Condition page so if you find someone cheating you can tell them to check terms and condition page ( http://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions). Here is an extracted out pdf format for the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is exactly what i am asking! thank you @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ur most welcome :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

@Chibi_Robo3 Oh, sure, thank him for something I already pointed out. LOL

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Abhisar the link doesn't work because of the ) at the end Here it is http://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm sorry @e.mccormick lol. let me explain When you said something about the "TaC", i really don't know what it means so I ignored it (sorry) . I already read CoC plenty times but that's not the info I want. When Abhisar mentioned the Terms and Conditions, that's the time I get what "TaC means so I thank him instead of acknowledging you and the rest , soweee ;_;

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Hehe. Well, I made a training video where I call them the CoC and TaC, so I am more used to those terms than most.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

God eric you scared the hell out of him :D

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
