Let me explain. If they did find it, they wouldn't be able to tell who's it was. Not to mention Egyptians were really protective over their leaders, I mean No one was supposed to be going back inside a pyramid, they were supposed to be buried in them. So for humans, to go where we weren't meant to.. it's difficult. They had traps set (not like the movies but yes traps none the less) And when we finally did have a body on our hands we didn't have the technology to identify it.
