What was the greatest cause of tension between the United States and the Soviet Union after World War II?

Well Russia and America didn't see eye to eye, General Patton actually wanted the US troops to blast through Germany and right through Russia, because he knew they were our next enemies. The greatest cause of Tension was probably how different the two were from each other yet they both were super powers, and after WW2 they were the only 2 super powers left... So They both wanted be to be the bigger super power, starting the whole "my wingspan is bigger than your wingspan war" aka the Cold War where no combat actually happened. They just kept one upping each other on everything and spying on each other,
