Multiply the entire second equation by -1 and then cancel out the 6x

this will equal 8y=18 now divide 8 by both sides and then you get 9/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y=9/4 so you just plug it in in any of the two equations to get the value of x

The 9/4 is negative btw
