This site is for studying, that's true. It's where you get help and interact with many users live. In every site there's always that percentage of trolls, because again you interact with every user live and your messages is not restricted (unless you want it restricted). Anything that you post on your profile pic, a real person of some celebrity that the troll doesn't know of is basically thought of as you.  Therefore, Best advice for you is to ignore, if they keep bothering you then report the user and the moderators will take action for it. We have moderators on here and they are aware of any reports. Once they know, they'll do something for sure. I am not a moderator, but i usually report anyone who bothers me whether in chats or through messages and i certainly do get help.

For optimum enjoyment of OpenStudy:

1. Declare your sex as a male, even if you are not.

Profit; no one bothers you anymore!

If they do bother you, politely declare yourself as taken. In the event they still do not leave you alone, block them. If they create a new account, change you message settings to fan only. ^_^

Other tactics exist such as:
Mentioning your attraction to arachnids only.
Mentioning your attraction to 2D males/females only.
Mentioning you have an STD.
Mentioning you cannot control your bowels.

(I never suffer from there problems to be honest. <cries> I am always left out.)

Just report those people AND DON'T FORGET TO ACTUALLY MENTION the sexual harassment IN THE REPORT COMMENT BOX.

Fun fact: about 90% of the reports have empty comment boxes. Most of the times they get ignored.

I remember when I joined and some people were messaging me. I was new so I just took a screenshot and messaged it to the mods. Now I know that you can report people and block them.
