Question

What is your opinion on the meaning of life?
I'm writing a quick essay on the meaning of life as a practice topic. Why do you think we are alive? What is our purpose? Do we have one?
I want to contrast other people's ideas with my own. :)

I'm not asking you to provide reasons, just a quick sentence. Like "The meaning of life is spreading joy" or "The meaning of life is simply to live." Or, "Life has no meaning."
I'm just curious what people think, and I wanted to try my hand at writing an essay on a philosophical subject.

I believe that people are here for different reasons; some people are here to help, some to test. Nobody truly knows why man was placed here in the first place, I believe that we are here to save those who cannot save themselves whether that be animals, children, the environment, or just other random people, but we have to help someone or something in order to fulfill purpose.

I have a much more scientific view of the meaning of life, that can be shortened to a single sentence:
Make many babies and live long.

That's basically the one goal of everything, regardless of species. I don't find the superficial meaning in life such as finding your soulmate, exploring the world, reaching enlightenment, etc etc.

The point of life is to learn. Whether it be learn how to love, learn from our mistakes, learn new things, learning is the point of life. This can be applied to everything.
