To graph y< 4x + 3, you do the following Step 1) Graph y = 4x+3. This is the boundary line Step 2) Make this boundary line a dashed line. There is no "or equal to" so we are not including the boundary. Step 3) The inequality sign is "less than" so we shade the region below the boundary line.
Follow the same steps for y > -3x-3 and graph it on the same xy axis. The two shaded regions will overlap. This overlapping region is the final solution set. This final solution set makes both inequalities true.
