An antenna is 5m high and 150 meters from the firing place. Suppose the path of the bullet shot from the firing place is determined by the equation y=-1/1500x^2 + 2/15x, where x is the distance (in meters) of the bullet from the firing place and y is its height. Will the bullet go over the antenna? If yes/no, show your justification.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

If y(150) > 5 then bullet flies over the antenna

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

\[\large y=-{1\over1500}x^2+{2\over15}x\] |dw:1416104702428:dw|

OpenStudy (radar):

Substitute 150 for x and solve for y and see if y exceeds 5.

OpenStudy (radar):

According to my calculation the bullet cuts the wire. I guess that would mean a no ??
