Coordinates help please

OpenStudy (anx):

The veritcal line is at x = 1 and horizontal at y = -3. Since current "A" is 6 points away from the y =0 then the reflect from the grid should be to (6,-2) added a picture

OpenStudy (anx):

The drawing is first reflected across x = 1 (vertical line) that put point "A" at (7,-4) in the 4th Quadrant. Then is reflected again over the horizontal line y = -3. its still quadrant 4, but A is now at (7, -2). You count from where the point currently is, until you get to the blue line. Then count that many in your case right. Which lands you at (7,-4). Then youre just 1 line away from the blue line. count up 1, which lands you at (7,-2) or A.

OpenStudy (anx):

I'll make a better picture gimme a sec.

OpenStudy (anx):

Maybe this picture may help a bit. Basically your counting from the original point A as far left until you hit the blue line. Which is 7 places. Then from the blue line you count that many places to the right of the line. Which puts you at (7,-4). (point A1 on my awful graph) Thats the reflect across the X=1 For Y= -3 Your one point at (A1) from the blue line y=-3, so just add 1 up the up direction, which lands you at (A2) or (7,-2).
