look on figure u will see that one end is on line y axis okay so on y axis , the coorindates of x axis is zero

so that point is on 2 on y axis so we can write it in this form (0,y)=(0,2) but as given in your question that What are the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle under the translation (x, y) ---> (x - 1, y - 3)?

under this translation that point on y axis would be (x,y)=(0-1,2-3) = (-1,-1) okay
