Question

I don't know how to sovle for the distance or time when I'm only given the Velocity initial of 0 m/s and the velocity final of -8.5 m/s. Can someone please explain this to me?

is it dropping or something? i'm going to assume it's dropping since you have a negative final velocity. or you could be going backwards. but i'm going to assume it's dropping because that's the only way I can see you finding either of these two values. it's actually really easy to find those values with the kinematic equations. just find the formula where you only have one missing variable. like to find time you can use\[v=v_{0}+at\]and just rearrange the equation to solve for time. for d you can use\[v^2=v_{0}^2+2ad\] and just solve for d. if it's not in freefall then i guess this is of no help. sorry if this doesn't help or your welcome if it does help. lol
