Is This antisymmetric? R X R , xSy iff y=x-1

geerky42 (geerky42):

I believe so. y is always equal to x-1 So it's impossible for \(x\mathcal{S}y\to y\mathcal{S}x\) or \(x\mathcal{S}(x-1)\to (x-1)\mathcal{S}x\) to be true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok which makes both statements false , Therefore making it Antisymmetric. I think that's how that works. Thanks for the input.
