So you look to the number to the right of 6. Is it less than 5?  If it's less than 5 then simply erase all the numbers to the right of 6. 

If the number to the right of 6 is 5 or greater, erase all the numbers to the right of 6 and then add 1 to 6 to make it 7.

Since the number to the right of 6 is less than 5, erase all the numbers to the right of 6. So the answer is 17.06
