After its 10 billion year lifespan is over, it will bloat and become a red giant. It will also destroy most planets as it is bloating. Eventually, it will condense into a white dwarf. A white dwarf is just as MASSIVE as a red giant or any other star, but Earth sized, so it is extremely dense.
