A rectangle is a specific parallelogram, so the opposite sides have the same length, each diagonal divide the rectangle in two rectangle triangles as you can see in the picture below:

In the above picture, consider, please, the two triangles, for example ABC and BAD. Those triangles have two couple of side equal and the angle between each couple of side also equal, so by the first criterion of equality of triangles, the triangles ABC and BAD are equals, in particular sides AC and BD are equals.
