OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Please, first you have to verify that: 1) measure CD = measure AD and, 2) measure CE = measure EB after that there is a theorem which states that if the above measures are eqauls in the way as I have indicated, then DE is parallel to AB.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would i put it as an answer? @Michele_Laino

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Since that condition1) and condition 2) are true, then the thesis is true, please check the conditions 1) and 2) first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u just give me the answer? @Michele_Laino

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

the answer is implied by your reasoning, whose steps I indicated as 1) and 2)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

for example: the measure of CD, is the distance between the points C and D, to find this distance, please you have to apply the usual formula, do you know that formula?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

for example distance between C and D is: \[dist(C,D)=\frac{ \sqrt{x_{1}^{2}+y _{1}^{2}} }{ 2 }\]

oh okay i got it thanks!
