I've got a history paper due in 2 days where I have to compare & contrast the actual events of the Alamo to the 2004 movie "The Alamo". It needs to be 8 pages :(
A. My topic will be comparing and contrasting the existent events about the siege and battle of the Alamo to the popular Hollywood representation, The Alamo 2004, and discussing its historical accuracy. I will be exploring the viewpoints presented in the movie and expose any bias compared to the actual events. I also plan to challenge the historical accuracy of the movie as well as what the media/Hollywood wants the American public to perceive about the Alamo in general.
^ That's a part of my proposal
I would also use any eyewitness accounts of the Alamo, if possible. I would look at the setting and how it looks in the movie as opposed to the actual thing in San Antonio, as well. Your plan seems very well thought out :)
