OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Okay, so I just got issued a warning for giving direct answers and such...is there any way i can find out the specific thread i was warned because of, because i want to know for future reference, and i can't remember doing that today....

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You wouldn't normally do that, so I was a bit puzzled. There were three or for posts that were the same. In order to "Warn" the other three, I had to warn you, too, even though I knew it to be unusual for you to do that. Every time someone "Everybody's doing it." I need to be able to say, "And they all received the same warning as you." http://openstudy.com/users/studygurl14#/updates/546a6b5de4b001ceb26876b2

OpenStudy (perl):

it helps if you ask the student, 'what part are you struggling on', or 'please show me the work you have done so far' (not saying you don't do this)

OpenStudy (perl):

its tricky , sometimes you are trying to help someone and someone else blurts out the answer while you are helping

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Oh, I see @tkhunny Thanks. you too @perl Yea, that example you gave I did give the answer straight out...I tried to fix it by showing how i got it...but...yea...lol. Sorry

OpenStudy (perl):

no problem, it was just a warning , so you didnt get muzzled :)

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

how does the warning thing work? Like, if you get 3 warnings or something you are suspended?

OpenStudy (perl):

im not sure exactly how warnings work. I think it depends on the nature of the incident, obscenity can be an instant kick, for example

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Ok. Cause I've gotten two warnings total for this reason, and I don't want to get suspended or anything...

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Just not a big. You've given hundreds of decent answers. You often challenge students to show their work. The ONLY reason you received this warning was because you happened to be in the pack. Warnings do not lead to suspension unless you don't learn from them. In this case, you have nothing to learn. I felt bad doing it, but had to for the pack! Keep up the good work. :-)

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

lol, thanks @tkhunny . You made me feel better. :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Don't get warnings @StudyGurl14 It drops your SS actually makes your SS rise slowly..

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

How do you know @TheSmartOne ?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Well I was looking through closed questions and I saw this :) And mods told me that getting reports, warning and suspensions all lower your SS.
