Can you explain the difference between active and passive transport

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when molecule travels from a higher concentration to a lower concentration through a concentration gradient. It is known as passive transport.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Active transport refers to when molecule travels from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration against the concentration gradiet.

Hope you understand!

active transport is a movement of molecules from lower concentration to higher concentration against the concentration gradient with the help of high energy molecules(ATP). passive transport is also the movement of molecules from higher concentration to lower concentration without the help of high energy molecules.
