hi can someone help in Algebra 2: Has to do with SOLVING SYSTEMS BY SUBSTITUTION.

OpenStudy (happpily):

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

take the last equation and find z in terms of x 2x+2z = 4 2z = 4-2x z = 2-x

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

next substitute for z in the first and second equations to get 2 equations in x and y

OpenStudy (happpily):

oooooh okay

OpenStudy (happpily):

Thank you :3

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

so first equation becomes -x - y - (2-x) = -8 -x - y - 2 + x = -8 -y-2 = -8 y = 6 thats a bit of luck - we have value of y already

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

I guess you can continue from here ?

OpenStudy (happpily):

yeah i can, thank you again ^.^

OpenStudy (cwrw238):
