It also looks like what they used as PS8 in 2011 is the same code. I opened the MIT ps7.py and found: class SimpleVirus(object): So I googled that and found: https://gist.github.com/textbook/4275372 He did the 2008 class.

Or was it a different person that said they did 2008... anyhow, it seems to be what you want.  Searching by parts of the premade code can get better results than the name because mit 6.00 matches a ton of things.
