Ed is on a road trip. He has already traveled 209 miles and is driving at a rate of 67 miles per hour. Which equation could be used to find how many hours, x, Ed has left in his road trip if he is traveling 611 total miles?

OpenStudy (anx):

611 miles = 209 + 67x 611 miles total 209 driven 67(x) where x how many hours he has left

OpenStudy (anx):

And algebraically, 611 = 209 +67x subtract 209 from both sides to isolate x becomes 402 = 67x divide both sides by 67 6 = x
