wow i had to do some reading up on this ok i think its true because if eigenvalue is 0 then rank of A would be 0 null(A) = n - rank(A) n is num of columns thus null(A) must be at least 1

hmm well eigenvalue of 0 means A is a zero matrix, oh shoot rank is 1 then
